In a dynamic and collaborative kick-off event, the Predictos consortium, made up of four leading institutions and a high-profile Advisory Board, came together for the first time to embark on a ground-breaking journey. The event, which took place on 20 January 2023 , served as a platform for the project partners and Advisory Board members to synchronise their efforts to strengthen the scientific and technological excellence of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (PL).

During this crucial meeting, the leaders of the different work packages took centre stage, meticulously outlining their scopes of work, presenting tasks and articulating the objectives that will shape the trajectory of Predictos. The collaborative spirit was visible as the partners engaged in open discussions, fostering a collective understanding of the the project.

A major highlight of the event was the insightful contributions of the esteemed Advisory Board members. Their expertise added depth to the discussions, focusing in particular on two key project themes: addressing unmet needs in osteosarcoma and formulating strategies for the development of a dual in silico/in vitro tissue engineering platform dedicated to the study of bone metastasis.

As Predictos takes its first steps into the realm of predictive in vitro and in silico models for osteosarcoma, the momentum generated during this kick-off meeting sets a promising tone for the transformative work ahead. The consortium looks forward to overcoming challenges, pushing boundaries and making progress in the innovative field of cancer research.

Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting journey to advance cancer therapies and improve patient outcomes!
