The 1st PREDICTOS Winter School – “Osteosarcoma Research” – took place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 29th  November to 1st  December 2023

Hosted by Maastricht University’s MERLN Institute, a key partner in the PREDICTOS project, this Winter School marked a significant milestone in advancing osteosarcoma treatment and research. The event brought together a diverse cohort of participants, representing various nationalities, faculties, and research centers, united by a common goal of driving innovation in combating this challenging disease.

Distinguished speakers, including Professors Carlos Mota, David Barata, and Lozenro Moroni from MERLN, Prof. Claire Villete from ULIEGE, and Prof. Enrico Lucarelli from Hospital Rizzoli, shared their expertise, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and pushing the boundaries of osteosarcoma research.

One of the standout features of the Winter School was its emphasis on fostering international connections and collaboration. With attendees hailing from different academic backgrounds and nations, the event provided a unique platform for networking and knowledge exchange, transcending geographical boundaries and enriching discussions with diverse perspectives.

Participants also had the exclusive opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories at the MERLN Institute, gaining insights into the latest technological advancements and sparking innovative ideas for future research endeavors.

The 1st PREDICTOS Winter School not only facilitated meaningful interactions and collaborations but also inspired attendees to push the envelope in their pursuit of novel solutions for osteosarcoma.
